What is Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery? Oral and maxillofacial surgery involves the surgical repairment of any diseases, defects and injuries in your teeth, gums and jawbone. It is a massive medical field that includes many sub-fields specifically oriented towards solving any issues the patient suffers from.

Reasons to choose us

At our clinic, we offer the best medical treatment with our expert dentists and state-of-the-art equipment and provide permanent solutions to your problems in all stages of your treatment.

Why is Maxillofacial surgery performed?

Some people have congenital dental disorders, while some people get dental injuries throughout the course of their life. These defects cause serious health issues and make the life insufferable for patients. We offer these patients permanent and effective solutions, relieving them from their pain and giving them a whole new look.

What is included in the pre-treatment process?

Through X-Ray imaging, we get a comprehensive look at your maxillofacial and dental structure. Our expert dentists then determine the best course of treatment suitable for you.

What are Dental and Maxillofacial surgical procedures?

There are different types of surgeries for each case of diseases and injuries:

Bone Grafting

What is bone grafting?

Bone grafting is a type of surgery in which healthy bone tissues are transplanted to an area of damaged or diseased bones. It is usually performed before implant surgery so that the implants can have healthy, stable, and strong foundations. Thanks to bone grafting, patients with damaged jawbones can receive durable implants without any problems. How is bone grafting performed? Before the surgery, you will go through X-Ray imaging. Our dentists then assess the results and determine in which areas bone grafting will be performed. Local anesthesia will be induced before the bone grafting is performed and you won’t feel any operation during the surgery. The duration of the surgery may vary but it is expected to take approximately an hour. Healing process after the bone grafting surgery After the bone grafting, there is a healing process before the implants could be implanted in your jawbone. To fasten this process, PRP (plalet-rich plasma) could be injected. PRP quickens the healing process by inducing blood cells whose function is to heal injuries and damaged tissues. Bone grafting is performed at our clinic with or without PRP, depending on the patient’s wishes.

Sinus Lift Surgery

What is sinus lift surgery? A sinus lift is a surgical treatment that some people require before having upper jaw implants installed. A bone graft is placed between your upper jaw and the membrane of your sinuses closest to your rear teeth (also known as molars). The sinus lift will then merge naturally with your jaw, allowing for the placement of an implant. Why is sinus lift performed? In cases of upper jawbone implants, sinus lifting is performed to create a durable, healthy and stable foundation. With the sinus lift procedure, sufficient space is obtained to apply implants in the jawbone. Is sinus lift surgery risky? There are no health risks involved in sinus lift surgery. What should I avoid after the surgery? You should avoid hot foods and drinks for 24 hours after the surgery. Also, proper care and hygiene is necessary in the long run to preserve your oral health.

Endodontics and Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is required when the pulp is diseased or damaged. If the patient has toothache, it is possible that the pulp has been damaged. Through X-Rays, we identify the exact issue. Our dentists may then decide on a root canal treatment to fix the problem. Root canal treatment is a dental technique that treats any infection in the pulp of a tooth. Root canal operation is painless, as the local area is anesthetized and can save a tooth that would otherwise have to be extracted. Root canal treatment takes approximately an hour.
